Integrate examines the intersections of architecture, technology, and social impact. This conference brings together designers, educators, and industry leaders to explore how integration—across disciplines, communities, and systems—shapes the built environment. Through discussions, hard-hat tours, and workshops, Integrate challenges silos and fosters new models of practice.

An early professional is defined as someone who is part of the architectural staff, has been working in the architectural profession for 10 years or less and fills one of the following roles: architectural student intern, recent graduate, unlicensed emerging professional, or recently licensed architect.
This year, we are offering a discount for Early Professional & Architect attendees who have never attended an AIA Ohio conference. This discount is for AIA Members only.
The Annual Design Awards Celebration will be held on Thursday, September 25 at Strongwater Events. The program will begin at 6:00 PM and will recognize excellence in architectural design across the region.
Ahead of the awards ceremony, LUs & Brews will take place from 4:00–6:00 PM. Attendees can earn continuing education credits and drink tickets by engaging with participating vendors during this networking session.
On Friday, September 26, educational sessions will take place at The Junto. Attendees can choose to attend presentations on-site, explore the Franklinton area through guided tours, or participate in a combination of both. This is a great opportunity to connect with fellow architects while earning LUs.
This is also the host hotel for the event, and a room block is available for those needing accommodations.

Keynote Speaker: Germane Barnes
Germane Barnes brings a dynamic voice to this year’s conference as a Keynote Speaker. The Chicago-born, Miami-based architect and founder of Studio Barnes is known for exploring the social and cultural narratives embedded in architecture, using design as a tool to celebrate identity and community. His award-winning projects have been featured internationally, with work in the permanent collections of SFMOMA, The Art Institute of Chicago, and the National Museum of African American History and Culture. His acclaimed project, Griot, was showcased in the Biennale Architettura 2023: Laboratory of the Future, cementing his role as a leading voice in contemporary architectural discourse. As an Associate Professor and Director of the Master of Architecture Program at the University of Miami, Germane offers a powerful perspective on how architecture can shape cultural storytelling and public life.
LUs & Brews
More engaging than a typical educational session…more structured than a sponsored happy hour. It’s LUs & Brews! Each vendor is assigned a table that will have 6-8 seats available. Attendees will come in and find a seat and you will conduct a short, mini-educational session at your table for the small group gathered there. Once complete, you will give each participant a ticket for a 4 oz pour from the brewery, and the participants will move on to a new table. Over the course of the event, you’ll have small group face time with 80+ architects, who will walk away with 2.0 AIA Learning Units. It’s a win-win! The LUs & Brews tables will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis, at a cost of $2,000.
