We are seeking to add a Design Architect to our growing and talented Design-Build Company. Studio 109 Designs, LLC is PWCampbell’s full-service, in-house architecture and design division. This position requires the individual to be design driven, construction minded, a strong communicator, and detail focused.
Objectives of this Role
Responsible for designing and developing a variety of building types in different markets, but mainly design work related to financial institutions, to fulfill client expectations, considering their functional requirements and adhering to legal and regulatory standards of the project site.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for client programming, concept development, site planning, building design, and preliminary interior design.
• Work hand in hand with our internal branded environments team, technology team, and furniture designer to ensure an overall cohesive and coordinated design.
• Responsible for internal communication with our land development team, preconstruction team, and project executives
• Create 3D digital models for project design development
• Identify project requirements to ensure accurate functionality of drawings
• Have a basic understanding of project construction costs to develop designs that stay within the client's budget
• Responsible for organizing and facilitating project design presentation meetings and ensuring stakeholders are informed of design progress
• Conduct site visits to evaluate existing conditions for renovation projects
• Oversee and provide direction to project architects during construction document production phase.
• Responsible for addressing Requests for Information (RFIs) from Project Managers during construction
• Collaborate with external consultants including site/civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing
• Specify the materials utilized within the building, including, doors, lighting, and other components
• Conduct thorough site inspections to identify potential flaws prior to the design phase
• Develop designs, present and promote them effectively, and prioritize the client's best interests throughout the
process
• Conduct Quality Control/Quality Assurance reviews to ensure compliance with life safety standards and assess constructability
• Must have strong understanding of building codes and the ability to research and implement zoning requirements as related to specific project types
• May perform other duties as assigned

Mercyhurst University is seeking one full-time faculty member in the Interior Architecture & Design Program.
Position will commence August 2025. Faculty rank will depend upon candidate qualifications.
The Interior Architecture & Design Program numbers about 40 undergraduates within the Art, Design, and
Communication Department that is part of the vibrant School of the Arts at Mercyhurst University. The Interior
Architecture & Design program is poised for growth within this vibrant collegial Arts community. Teaching and
learning are enhanced by strong design community ties and interaction with industry professionals.
Faculty enjoy mentoring and engaging students in an active learning environment committed to quality education,
student centeredness, open dialogue, and collaboration. Department members engage in departmental, college,
and university-wide committee work curriculum development, portfolio review, undergraduate and graduate
advisement, student outcome assessment, student recruitment, and involvement in professional organizations.
QUALIFICATIONS
• This position requires a minimum of a master’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or
Architecture, however terminal degree is preferred.
• Demonstrated teaching and professional experience preferred.
• Candidate must hold at least one degree in interior design and be NCIDQ certified.
• Desired qualifications include LEED certification and experience with CIDA accreditation standards.
• Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Successful candidates must be able to function well in a technological environment with experience or proficiency
in AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
