AIA Ohio Foundation Recognizes Marr Citation Recipients
The AIA Ohio Foundation

Each year, the AIA Ohio Foundation, in partnership with AIA Ohio members and local AIA Ohio components, recognizes members who support the profession through leadership and financial contributions to the Foundation. The Charles Marr Citation, named after long-time Foundation supporter, Charles Marr, recognizes those individuals who help support the vision and mission of the AIA Ohio Foundation through monetary contributions.  These contributions are provided not only by individuals, but also components who seek to acknowledge the leadership of their chapters.

These annual citations are a way of not only recognizing individual members for their work throughout the year, but they also create an opportunity to pay-it-forward as the member recognition supports AIA Ohio Foundation student scholarships.   As reported at the 2023 AIA Ohio Design Community Conference earlier this month, the Foundation has been able to provide $227,000 in scholarships to 108 students over the past twenty years.  The Charles Marr Citations play a key role in AIA Ohio Foundation’s efforts to continue and expand these scholarships.

The nine recipients of the 2023 AIA Ohio Foundation Marr Citations include:

Daniel Bickerstaff, Jr, AIA                -AIA Cleveland

The Board of Trustees of the AIA Ohio Foundation would like to thank and congratulate these recipients. We would like to also thank those chapters who, through recognition of their leadership, have helped promote and advance the work of the Foundation.  Your ongoing support of our efforts is extremely important as we work to bring students into the profession.
