IKM Architecture is seeking a Senior Project Architect with deep knowledge of construction systems and building technology, strong technical leadership, and someone who has a strong focus on quality control and a passion for mentoring project teams. This role is ideal for an experienced architect looking to make a broad impact by elevating technical standards, guiding project teams, and shaping firm-wide best practices. The position will be located in our Columbus, OH office.
The Project Architect will have the following responsibilities:
- Lead technical oversight for multiple projects, ensuring quality, constructability, and consistency in deliverables
- Develop and maintain standardized construction details for firm-wide use
- Mentor and educate staff in technical excellence, construction documentation, and emerging best practices
- Support project management and delivery across all phases, with an emphasis on construction administration
- Present technical solutions to clients in collaboration with project managers and design leads
- Coordinate with project teams to guide technical strategy and ensure alignment with design intent
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture (professional degree) is required. Degree must be from an accredited school of architecture
- Active Architecture license required
- 10+ years of architectural experience, with a proven track record in detail development and construction administration
- Demonstrated expertise in building systems, materials, and emerging construction technologies
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with a collaborative and proactive mindset
- Software Familiarity with Bluebeam, REVIT, AutoCAD, Rhino, Enscape, Microsoft Office 365, SketchUp, and the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite

Salary: $95,500 – $124,200
