Our Expectations

• Complete assigned tasks accurately, efficiently, and of a quality consistent with firm expectations, making appropriate and timely
• Have awareness of building codes, industry standard practices, construction sequencing and constructability, and possess the ability to research, understand and resolve the impacts of these on the design, detailing, and construction of a
• Actively participate in research, design studies, preparation and coordination of drawings, project manual and specifications through all phases of a project to achieve the design intent and client’s goals and
• Assist the project team with building authority and construction administration in-office and on- site
• Be a proficient Revit user adept with the latest Building Information Modeling, clash detection, and rendering tools as well as having familiarity with other energy modeling and analytical technologies utilized during the design exploration and construction documentation
• Be licensed or candidates currently on the licensure

Landscape Architect
Entry Level

The Collaborative, a highly motivated design firm, seeks to hire an entry level Landscape Architect. Although
office experience is not required, preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate a history of success
in an office or classwork and/or a completed internship in a Landscape Architecture office setting. As part of
our Landscape Architecture and planning team, this individual will work on complex assignments requiring
design, planning, critical thinking and innovative solutions. The candidate must be able to develop site plans,
landscape plans and project details; develop illustrative graphics; and collect, organize, interpret and present
data in creative ways.

Architect

be a member of project teams involved with higher education, corporate and commercial projects throughout
the mid-west and east coast. Requisite skills are strong design, planning, and problem-solving capabilities.
Proficiency in BIM, various rendering platforms and Adobe Creative Suite products a plus. Candidates should
possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture or related field. A successful candidate will be selfstarting, flexible, and quick to contribute to our range of projects for nationally known clients.

Technical Architect

The Collaborative is actively recruiting technical architects for all offices. The candidate will be responsible for
a project's technical design effort, subsequent detailed design development, project coordination and quality
control efforts during all phases of project work, all while in close collaboration with the design team. Attention
to detail, a basic knowledge of building codes and ability to work in a team environment is very important.
Proficiency in BIM is required. Professional licensure encouraged.

Construction Administrator
3+ Years Experience

The Collaborative seeks a person with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to support the
efforts of the design and technical teams in a successful and timely project execution. The ideal candidate will
be a results-oriented person able to multi-task and deal with issues head-on across multiple projects. The
abilities to communicate effectively with internal and external team members; review and interpret project
documents; coordinate and drive schedule milestones; observe and marshal the job from pre-construction to
contract completion are of utmost importance. This position requires frequent, same-day travel to various local
and regional job sites with the occasional overnight stay. 3+ years of relevant jobsite experience is preferred.
