2012 Architectural Registration Exam (A.R.E.) Study Session Series
The American Institute of Architects (A.I.A.), Cleveland and Akron chapters are proud to announce the 2012 Architectural Registration Exam (A.R.E.) Study Session Series for all future architects. The series is 7 A.R.E. study sessions, each covering 1 of the 7 sections of the A.R.E. These sessions will cover the NCARB review guides in-depth with explanation of how to approach and solve multiple choice and the practice exam vignettes, applicable project experience, relevant concept definitions, and open question time will also be provided.
NCARB’s website: The ARE currently co nsists of seven divisions that can be taken in any order. Exams include a combination of multiple-choice, check-all-that-apply, and fill-in-the-blank questions and graphic vignettes. Sessions are lead by experienced registered architects and engineers who have generously given their time to share their knowledge. Vocon is graciously hosting all sessions at 3142 Prospect Ave E, Cleveland, OH 44115 http://www.vocon.com/on the 4th Saturday of the month, beginning on January 28th from 9am until 2pm.
Cost per session for AIA Associate members of any chapter is $25, cost for all 7 study sessions for AIA Associate members of any chapter is $110. Cost per session for non-AIA members is $40, cost for all 7 study sessions for non-AIA members is $210. (Cost of each exam is $210. Cost of AIA Associate member is around $240.) Late registration is less than the Monday at 5pm the week before the Saturday study session up to the day before and is $50 for anyone. If you want to come the day of and have not been registered, please bring a check for $60 made payable to AIA Cleveland. There are a few need based scholarships, please email Sarah Markley at markley_sarah@hotmail.com for information.
Kaplan has donated 7 study guides (worth $700) and one for each session will be raffled off. Those who register for all sessions will receive two entries to each raffle. http://www.kaplanaecarchitecture.com/
