The Ohio Architects Board is responsible for the regulation of the practice of architecture in Ohio. Members of the Board are appointed by the Governor’s Office and include four architects and one public member. Architect members of the Board must be licensed in Ohio and have held their Ohio license for at least five years. The Ohio Architects Board meets five times a year, in person at the Riffe Center in Columbus. The current Board members are:
- Board President: David Kirk, AIA – term expires 10/2/2027
- Board Vice President: Bhakti Bania, AIA – term expires 10/2/2029
- Board Secretary: Geoffrey Eaton, CBO — term expires 10/2/2030
- Board Member: Robert Larrimer, AIA – term expires 10/2/2026
- Public member:VACANT
The Governor’s office is currently accepting applicants to replace Robert Larrimer, AIA, whose term expires in October. Those interested in being considered for appointment to the Board may apply online with the Governor’s office by submitting a Boards and Commission Application.
AIA Ohio will consider requests for letters of recommendation on behalf of members who are applying for statewide boards and commissions.
