On June 14, 2025, AIA Columbus and the IIDA Ohio Kentucky Chapter once again joined forces to participate in the Stonewall Columbus Pride March, proudly representing the LGBTQIA+ community and allies in architecture and design. Organized by the AIA Columbus LGBTQIA+ Alliance and IIDA, the group gathered at the Center for Architecture and Design before stepping off with over 250 participating organizations.

This year’s theme, United in Power, was felt deeply throughout the 2-mile route along High Street, as thousands of marchers and spectators came together in celebration and solidarity. From students and emerging professionals to seasoned architects and designers, the AIA and IIDA contingent stood tall in their commitment to visibility, inclusion, and advocacy for queer designers and allies.

With music, joy, and shared purpose energizing the crowd, the march served as a powerful reminder of the role design communities can play in building a more equitable and affirming world. AIA Columbus is proud to support events like this that uplift our members and foster belonging in the profession.
