The Ohio Department of Transportation is conducting a statewide historic context research project focused on Postwar housing in Ohio, 1940-1980. The purpose of this project is to create a comprehensive historic context for Historic Preservation professionals in Ohio to use when evaluating Postwar homes and neighborhoods. As the research target is a product of the recent past, we are hoping to be able to rely on people who were involved in architecture and home building for both interviews and insight.
In the near future the consultant team of Mead & Hunt and Lawhon & Associates, Inc., will be providing opportunities for individuals to share their general knowledge or individual accounts with our research staff. We are in the process of creating an online poll by which people can participate in a general way. We will also be seeking architects and builders to interview in person or virtually to aid in the research phase of our project.
Interested individuals can contact either Lisa or Brett.
