Are you ready to join the 300+ architects employed by the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)?

USACE Louisville seeks Architectural Graduates, Licensed Architects, and Project Architects with 3+ years of experience for multiple job openings in our Design Branch. We have a staff of over 70 master planners, architects, interior designers, mechanical engineers, and electrical engineers in downtown Louisville. We partner with our in-house civil and structural engineers as the Designer of Record (DOR) on a diverse portfolio of projects for the federal government while focusing on sustainable and high-performance buildings for the Army, Air Force, Navy, VA, USDA, etc.  Our local team of architects are responsible for leading these multi-discipline design teams in preparing drawings, specifications, and analysis for new, renovated, and adaptive reuse facilities across the country.

Salary

  • $69,107 – 107,680
  • Salary and potential recruitment/relocation incentives are based on qualifications and previous experience
  • All USACE employees participate in a performance evaluation program with end-of-cycle monetary awards

Qualifications

  • Open to the public (no military experience or enlistment required)
  • S. Citizenship is required
  • Arch or M. Arch degree from an accredited school of architecture, with completion of AXP preferred
  • 3 years minimum experience
  • Proficient in Autodesk Revit
  • Experience applying advanced architectural principles and concepts to evaluate design objectives and client needs
  • Experience providing direction to project teams in resolving complex problems and meeting project milestones and deadlines
  • Experience in the application of building codes and industry standards
  • Strong graphic, organization, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary project team
  • Able to handle multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
